Use your tax refund wisely! Invest in a unique piece of furniture that will last for generations.

I just finished this china cabinet and now the shop is ready for custom orders.

The wood for this cabinet came from a tree in NE Portland (thanks to Bob Phillips!), cut down 20 years ago, which hadn’t found its purpose until now.

My idea was to design a piece of furniture that looks simple and beautiful to untrained eyes, but that would also be intriguing to woodworking enthusiasts. This piece is built  with solid Spalted Western Maple, which means all the joinery had to be precise, to allow for small movements in the wood over time, but also to keep the whole cabinet solid.

This china cabinet features glass windows, hand-cut dovetail drawers and book-matched door panels. With a few modifications, it could convert to an entertainment center or for other custom uses.

After selecting the wood, it takes me around 3 weeks to build a cabinet like this.
