I’ve always been fascinated with drawing buildings and geometric shapes, and taking things apart before trying to put them back together.
My woodworking career started at the Laney College vocational program in Oakland, California. The program also helped me land a job at Berkeley Mills, one of the best custom woodworking shops in California, where I gained experience veneering kitchens, running the CNC machine and learning from master woodworkers.
When we moved back to Portland in 2010, I started my own woodworking business, starting with small pieces to sharpen my skills. Over the years, I have built up my shop and now have a fully equipped one-man shop.
I like to think of myself as a hybrid woodworker. I use both heavy machinery and hand tools, according to the size of the job, which improves productivity and still ensures high quality results.
My mission is to help you build a beautiful piece of furniture that fits your style and will be functional in your home, while ensuring that your environment is free from toxic chemicals. I use low-VOC products to ensure the safety of the whole family.
